Travis Michael Keith

Travis Michael Keith, age 48, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at his residence in Jacksonville, North Carolina. A funeral service will be held at noon on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel with Pastor Jordan Scott officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel. The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel is in charge of the service arrangements. Travis Michael Keith, the son of Charlene Bergquist, was born on May 5, 1977, in Litchfield, Minnesota. He grew up in Cokato where he was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. Travis graduated from the Dassel-Cokato High School in 1995. On August 15, 2009, Travis was united in marriage to Sarah Tonak at the Gopher Campfire in rural Hutchinson, Minnesota. Together they made their home in Stewart, Minnesota for many years before moving to Jacksonville, North Carolina. Travis had been employed with the United States Postal Service for several years before owning and operating T.K. Lawn Service in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He had a passion for the outdoors, he could often be found casting a line in search of his next catch, hunting, driving a golf ball down a fairway or drawing a straight flush in poker. He loved his family with his whole heart. Travis loved to go to his children’s activities, often coaching and cheering from the sidelines as they participated in baseball, basketball and gymnastics and had just started coaching football for Nash. He enjoyed traveling, especially hunting and fishing trips and the many family adventures. He will be deeply missed by his family and his friends. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Keith of Jacksonville, North Carolina, children, Caleb Keith, Bryce Keith, Nash Keith; and Danika Keith, his mother, Charlene Danielson of Dassel, siblings, Torrey (Erin) Keith of Dassel, Cassie (Kyle) Akerson of Belgrade, and Dallas (Miranda) Danielson of Richmond. Nieces and nephews, Jennah, Larissa, and Karlie Keith, Alaina and Peyton Akerson, Madeline, Kennedy, Derek, and Teagen Danielson. He was preceded in death by his father, Duane “Dewey” Danielson, niece, Natalie Danielson, grandparents, Marlow and Alvina Bergquist, Eldon and Lois Mae Danielson, and George and Jane Keith, and his aunt, Cindy. He was greeted in heaven by his hunting buddy Lexi, Travis black lab.
