Margaret Lenore Danielson

Margaret Lenore (Beckman) Danielson, age 95, of Dassel, died Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Lakeside Generations. A celebration of life will be held at noon on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Stockholm Lutheran Church in rural Cokato with the Rev. Mark Little officiating. The interment of the urn will be held in the spring at the church cemetery. A time to gather with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Stockholm Lutheran Church on Friday morning. The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Margaret Lenore (Beckman) Danielson, the daughter of Gust and Lillian (Lundahl) Beckman was born on July 1, 1930, on the family farm in Dassel. Margaret was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and was a member of the Stockholm Lutheran Church at the time of her death. Margaret was a 1948 graduate of the Dassel High School. After graduating from high school, Margaret worked in Minneapolis and was employed at the Northwestern Bank and the American Life Insurance Company for a few years. On December 3, 1954, Margaret was united in marriage to Wayne Orville Danielson at the First Lutheran Church in Dassel. Together they made their home on a dairy farm south of Dassel. Margaret helped with the farm chores and raised four boys. She loved farm life and always had a large garden. She spent many hours canning the fall garden harvest. She enjoyed puzzles, playing cards and games, especially Rummikub. Margaret was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, Viking, Gophers and especially her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. After retirement from farming, Margaret and Wayne enjoyed traveling and visiting many destinations. She was a good cook and baked wonderful treats for her family. She especially enjoyed spending time together for the holidays and other family get togethers. She was daycare for many of her grandchildren over several years. Margaret was an active member of the Stockholm Lutheran Church, serving group for many funerals, and was on the pastoral call committee, prayer chain, and birthday club. Margaret will be missed by her family and her many friends. She is survived by her children, Dennis (Kristy) Danielson of Dassel, Doug (Carol) Danielson of Maple Grove, Dean (Deb) Danielson of Dassel, twelve grandchildren, April, Kyle, Michael, Melissa, Alex, Christopher, Garrett, Stephen, Matthew, Jordan, Clint, and Alysha, 23 great grandchildren, and a sister, Diane (Allen) Johnson of Dassel. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, son, Daryl Danielson, grandson, Brandon Scherping, her parents, Gust and Lillian Beckman, her sister, Jean Petersen and brothers, Gustav Beckman and Marvin Beckman. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stockholm Lutheran Church.
