Jeanine Marie (Huberty) Anderson

Jeanine Marie (Huberty) Anderson, of Cokato, MN, passed away July 7, 2024. Jeanie was born October 19, 1951 at St. Cloud Hospital, and was baptized November 4th, 1951. She grew up in St. Cloud, MN., Chester, MT., Glencoe, MN., the twin cities area and finally settled in Dassel, MN. She confirmed her faith at First Lutheran Church (Gethsemane Lutheran) in Dassel and graduated from Dassel High School in 1969. Jeanie married Gordon Anderson on December 3rd, 1971. They built their family by adding four children. Jeanie and Gordy worked side by side on the farm in Lamson, where Jeanie helped with farm chores, milking cows, detasseling, doing bookwork, and making meals for those working in the fields, on top of, most importantly, being a dedicated mom. Jeanie loved God and her family. She lived her faith by serving as a Sunday school leader, youth director, church council member, choir member, and Bible Study Leader. She didn’t just talk a life of faith – she lived it daily. Most precious to Jeanie were her grandchildren. From hearing that a new grandchild was on the way, she created beautiful blankets to wrap them in love. We know each stitch was accompanied by a prayer for that child. Jeanie is preceded in death by: her parents, Mel and June Huberty, her in-laws, Evald and Florence Anderson, her sister, Barb McNabb, and her son-in-law, Tom Davis. Jeanie is survived by: her husband, Gordon, children, Shawn (Brenda) Anderson, Shannon Anderson, Ryan (Emily) Anderson, and Megan (Harry) Fries, grandchildren, Tanner, Kiera (Jacob), Nathan (Tabatha), Audrey, Genevieve, Hannah, Harry, Wyatt, Harper, Tess, and Flynn, great-granddaughter, Paisley, and a new arrival in the fall, brother, Gary (Patty) Huberty, sister, Kris (Ken) Maehren, brother-in-law, John McNabb, sister-in-law, Jane (Keith) Quanbeck, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel on July 14, 2024 from 5:00-7:00 with a prayer service and time for memories at 6:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held July 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Free Lutheran Church in Cokato, MN. Lunch will follow. Memorials are preferred to Lambs Daycare and Preschool at Good Shepherd Free Lutheran Church.
