Evangeline "Evon" Esther Anderson

March 9, 1933 - April 19, 2022

She and her siblings enjoyed many adventures growing up on the family farm. Music was a bond they shared. The sisters loved to sing and often performed at church and for family and friends. When children joined the family they were included in many sing-a-longs around the piano. Evon married Marvis Anderson in October l955 and they moved to St. Louis Park where they raised their family. Evon worked as a training coordinator for Northwestern Bell for many years. When she and Marvis retired, they built a home on the shores of Big Swan Lake in Dassel. They both loved working in their flower gardens and watching the many varieties of birds they fed. Family and faith were most important to her. Her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life and she will be deeply missed by those who loved her. She is survived by her husband, Marvis Anderson; children, Bridget (Tom) Mackin, Brenda (Bob) MacDonald, Belinda (Russ) McGinty; grandchildren Matthew (Kristy) Duenwald, Megan (Matt) Morreim, Taylor (Lance) Zilles, Ed McGinty, Colin (Danielle) Mackin, Madeline McGinty; great grandchildren Avery and Bennett Duenwald, Blake and Drew Morreim; siblings Rosalie Haglund, Mae Ruotsinoja, Daniel Christenson, Lowell (Judy) Christenson, Carolyn (Franz) Koeneke , Sharon Winfield and sister-in-law Ruth Christenson. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Ruby Christenson; brothers Dale Christenson and Duane Christenson; and sister Marilyn Kujawa. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at North Crow River Lutheran Church, 45 Quinnell Ave. SW, Cokato. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
