Aileen Doris Weber

Aileen Doris Weber, age 96, of Dassel, died Friday, February 11, 2022, at Lakeside Generations in Dassel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel with Rev. Janine Olson officiating. The interment will be held at Our Saviors Cemetery in Brooten in the spring. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, one hour prior to the service at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel. The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel is in charge of the funeral arrangements. Aileen Doris Weber, the daughter of Oscar J. and Dinah A. (Larson) Moe was born on April 1, 1925, in Brooten, Minnesota. She grew up in the Brooten and Belgrade area where she attended Belgrade Country School and graduated from the Belgrade High School in 1943. Aileen was baptized and Confirmed at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Brooten and was presently a member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel where she had been active in the Gethsemane Lutheran Church Ladies Aid and WELCA. On October 30, 1943, Aileen was united in marriage to Melvin J. Braadland. Together they made their home in Shakopee, Glenwood, Willmar, and came to Dassel in 1958. On June 15, 1968, Aileen was united in marriage to Marcus Weber. Together they made their home in Dassel. Aileen had been employed as a waitress for many years. She had also been employed at Fingerhut and Nortronics. Aileen loved to spend time in her large garden tending to the various plants that she had. She was a part of the local horticulture group, occasionally touring places such as the arboretum to see the many varieties of flowers and plants. Another of her great joys was bowling with her team members during the year and attending the tournaments in the spring. She especially enjoyed getting together with family for holidays and special events. She held her family close and loved everyone with her whole heart. She always had a smile and a warm welcome for anyone who visited and, of course, a cup of coffee and a baked treat. She will be missed deeply by her many friends and family. She is survived by her daughter, Paulette Wieberdink, daughter-in-law, Maureen (Duane) Smith, stepchildren, Roger (Mildred) Weber, Marvin Weber and his significant other, Judy, Melvin (Patricia) Weber, Sandra Schultz, Linda (William) Stelton, Thomas (Lorraine) Weber, and Lloyd (Constance) Weber, 34 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, and 29 great-great grandchildren, stepdaughters-in-law, Janet Weber and Cheryl Weber, stepson-in-law, Richard Vensland. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members along with many friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Braadland and Marcus Weber, sons, James Braadland and his significant other, Karen Tuman, and Merlin Braadland, brothers, Melvin Moe and his wife, Adeline, Donald Moe and his wife Marita, infant sister, Doris Joan Moe, stepsons, Leroy Weber and Duane Weber, stepdaughter, Sharon Vensland, step-grandsons, Martin Weber, Jason Weber, step-grandson-in-law, James Bragg, nephew, Bernhard Moe, and her son-in-law, Merle Wieberdink.
