Margaret Isaacson

Margaret Isaacson, age 97, of Dassel, died Sunday, May 27, 2012, at the Augustana Lakeside Health Care Center of Dassel. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel with the Rev. Steven Olson and Rev. John Peterson officiating. The interment of the urn will take place at the Dassel Community Cemetery on a later date. A time to gather with family will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Margaret Isaacson, (Anita Margaret Isaacson), the daughter of Herman E. and Ethel M. (Buzick) Swanson was born on December 3, 1914. She grew up in the Dassel area and graduated from the Dassel High School in 1932. She was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Dassel and was presently a member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church at the time of her death. She had been an active member of the Gethsemane Lutheran Women's Circle and enjoyed attending bible studies. On December 21, 1938, Margaret was united in marriage to Raynold W. Isaacson at the home of her parents. Together they resided in Dassel where Margaret worked out of her home as a seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with her family and took great pride in their accomplishments. She loved to entertain and always made sure that everyone had a goodtime and left well fed. She had many talents ranging from making crafts, flower arranging, and making her wonderful breads. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and helping them with all of their crafts. She will be missed by all of her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Martha (Barry) Johansen of Red Wing, Marguerite Isaacson of Minneapolis, Ann Isaacson and her husband Ted Rueff of St. Paul, and Heidi (Ken) Nelson of Willmar, two grandchildren, Ray Isaac Nelson (fiancé Kelly Heim) and Anita Joy Nelson. She is also survived by her sister, Aleda Swanson of Dassel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raynold, daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Bruce Triden, parents, siblings, Karl, Betty, and Herman E. Swanson Jr.
