Doris Clarine Bollman

Doris Clarine Bollman, age 106, died Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Lakeside Generations in Dassel. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel with the Rev. John Martinson officiating. The interment will be held at the Dassel Community Cemetery following the service. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel. Doris Clarine Bollman, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend Doris was born July 29,1920 to Oscar and Selma Dahlgren. She died August 9, 2026, eleven days after celebrating her 106th birthday. Doris lived a centenarian lifestyle of strength, wisdom, and loving kindness to her family and friends. A farm girl from her most innocent beginning, Doris exemplified true Minnesotan ways. Upon graduation from Dassel High School, she attended "normal" training to become a school teacher. She taught in four local country schools. The teacher in her remained a part of her life and she was a stickler for grammar. On June 8,1944 she was united in marriage to Arnold Bollman. They resided on Doris' home farm northeast of Dassel until Arnold's passing in 1984. Doris was employed at 3M in Hutchinson for 25 years. Following retirement she worked part time at Crest Electronics in Dassel. Doris was passionate about entertaining family and friends, and did so with organization and style. Crossword and Word Search puzzles became an important part of her daily routine along with the anticipated coffee time. Her faith journey included Gethsemane Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for 10 years and was involved in several women's groups. Doris' family would like to extend special thanks to the loving staff at Lakeside Nursing Home and the dedicated Moments Hospice team for their extraordinary care of Doris. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arnold, infant daughter Janet Mae, and son Larry. She is survived by daughter Bev Dokken (Tom) of Bloomington, five grandchildren, Melisa, Mark (Janelle), Ryan (Amy), Annie (Kyle), and Cyndi. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
